If I need to have soup ready in half-an-hour, creamy potato & leek is the soup to go. sometimes if i want my soup to be pale white, i will omit the green part of leek and make sure i did not burn my leek while softening it. also i replace black pepper with white pepper.

During winter time, my skin get very dry and irritated. I heard that having sugarcane is good because it help to moisturise skin also it is good to have when you had cough. If you can find fresh sugarcane at your local store it is preferable than the can sugarcane, a bit of more work though, you have to cut off the outer skin.

Yes yes yes, we had steamboat again, do you consider this as a lazy way of preparing dinner. Well, I dont think so considering you have to prepare the soup stock in advance, prepare sauces, cut and clean steamboat ingredients.
No herbal soup stock this time, just plain sweet tasty chicken stock – If you want to get a clear soup, do not cover the pot when boiling or simmering else you will get cloudy soup.
I forgot to take picture beforehand, so here is the pic half way tru our steamboat

Finally, i found fresh ginseng sold at my local asian groceries, now i can cook my fav korean ginseng soup, however first i just had to tried this recipe and i am glad i did. By the way sea coconut is not your normal coconut, i notice that even after hours of boiling the soup, the sea coconut stay tough and crunchy, i dont think you meant to eat them (as in put in your mouth and swallow them
).
